About YAM

Young Astronomers' Meet (YAM), provides a platform for interaction among research students from diverse field of Astronomy and Astrophysics working in India. YAM is held every year, with the aid of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), to encourage the efforts of youngsters stepping into astronomy; a meeting of the students organised by the students for the students.

 

YAM 2009, the 12th in this series, will be held at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, West Bengal during 14th to 16th March 2009. We welcome applications from PhD/MSc students from various institutes and Universities all-over India, interested in the field of Astronomy, Astrophysics and related topics.
