About Center for Theoretical Studies, IIT Kharagpur :

The CTS is currently housed in the Old Building of IIT Kharagpur, which served as the detention camp during the British rule in India. The CTS is an interdisciplinary center providing facilities for theoretical and computational research in fundamental areas of science and engineering. It facilitates research and interaction among researchers through organization of conferences, workshops, special lectures and seminars, and through its Visitors Programme by financially supporting incoming researchers to IIT Kharagpur.
